Descriptions

Exterior Walk Through

Cosmetically, Iguana is in excellent condition, particularly for her age. Her topside gelcoat shines, her decks, lockers, nooks and crannies are very clean.

When boarding, you'll immediately notice the new hatches on deck, all replaced in 2014 and upgraded to Lewmar Ocean Series. Unlike nearly every other Beneteau on the market, there is no crazing on any hatches or portlights!

The varnish was done April 2016, and she shows much newer than her age.

Starting in the cockpit, the seating is immense for a 41' sailing yacht. A large helm console with integrated instrumentation and cockpit table provides great hand holds and foot bracing, and beautiful teak covered seating surrounds this centerpiece.

Access to the large swim platform comes from a removable helm seat, flanked on either side by LPG storage and a deep storage locker. The port cockpit seat hides a shallow lazarette and the starboard gives access to a deep lazarette.

Mounted to the transom, behind the two stern seats, is an Ocean Marine Davit system which holds the 9' dinghy. A 5 hp Honda outboard engine rests on the transom pushpit and is lowered using the engine hoist.

All sail handling lines are led aft to the cockpit and are controlled under the rigid dodger. One electric halyard winch makes sail handling easy.

Moving forward, the decks are uncluttered and easy to move around. Deck surfaces have great ant-slip grip and there are good handholds. At the bow is a deep anchor locker, spotless in fact, with an electric windlass and 200' of chain.

The sails are both on furlers (main and genoa) so sail handling could not be easier.

Interior Walkthrough

Descending through the large companionway, you enter into the spacious main salon.

Iguana boasts the very desirable 2-Cabin layout with an enormous galley to starboard with large front-loading refrigerator, and a separate large top loading deep freezer.

Ample counter space and storage make cooking a dream, though aboard Iguana, the Force 10 2-burner stove/oven has not even been used! A custom cutting board is mounted on top of the cooking surface, and a microwave is built in above that. Custom plate/mug rack, and other clever storage solutions maximize this space.

Across on the port side is a large queen sized berth with good storage, and a custom wooden tool chest. Just forward, and to port is the guest/day head.

The main living space is very comfortable with a large c-shaped settee to starboard with a large table and a straight settee which is connected to the aft facing navigation station to port.

The woodwork is in exceptional condition, both the floors and the furniture. Custom area rugs, and beautiful artwork from Mexico and Hawaii protect the surfaces and are included in the sale of the vessel. Custom blinds and curtains help to protect the interior as well, and all port lights and hatches are equipped with screens.

Thoughtful attention has been paid, and additional teak hand holds have been installed around the interior to make moving about at sea safer.

Moving forward through the vessel, you enter the forward cabin with a large double pullman berth to starboard and separate seating area to port. This makes for a very comfortable sleeping arrangement while underway, and is made even nicer by having an ensuite head and flatscreen tv with dvd.

Iguana's interior is in excellent condition, and very well laid out, whether you plan to cruise extensively or just entertain guests for a weekend.
