PRICE REDUCED 11/3/15...Owner wants her sold!

Congratulations and thank you for making your way to the listing for this beautifully designed and built 1987 Nordic 48 Pilothouse Motoryacht. Her current owner, a very experienced navigator and member of St. Francis Yacht Club, has owned and operated "Pretty Lady" for many years up and down the West Coast.

She is beautifully suited for long coastal passages or a weekend trip to a secluded anchorage. Her hull and decks are designed with seaworthiness and comfort as the top priority. With high bulwarks, large handrails, deep cockpit, partial Portuguese bridge, and access from the transom and both port and starboard sides, she is very easy to move around while underway.

While cruising underway, you will notice how stable and smooth she rides. Capable of reaching semi-displacement speeds, you will arrive faster, and more comfortably than aboard a full keel trawler.

Once you've reached your destination, you will find her interior appointments to be as comfortable as many condos on land. Large sofas, a chef's galley kitchen, raised helm deck, and two spacious cabins with heads make for comfortable living. Tall headroom, great visibility and ventilation, and ample storage make for a spacious home away from home.

Unfortunately after many years of cruising, her owner is no longer living in the area and has placed her up for sale, so that her next owners can continue to take advantage of her many great cruising features.

A February 2014 Survey is available to view with a fair market value of $230,000

We encourage you to come view Pretty Lady at our docks in Alameda, CA. To schedule an appointment to view, please contact our office directly.

Interior Appointments

From the aft cockpit, you are welcomed into the main salon through a large sliding glass door with separate screen which brings light and air into the spacious living area.

To port and starboard are 8' sofas, and forward, is a large arm chair allowing for 7-9 adults to comfortably socialize in the salon. A movable, expanding wooden table allows for flexible dining/entertaining options.

Forward, and to port of the salon, is the large galley with a large peninsula allowing for an open plan kitchen/living area, much like those found in today's modern homes. An LPG 3-Burner Force 10 stove, large sink, and numerous cabinets make for a very large and functional galley.

To starboard is the electrical panel in the area located under the interior staircase which leads to the flybridge. This is a very unique feature which makes accessing the flybridge very easy for those with limited mobility or that require a handrail. These are real stairs, not a ladder!

Forward of that, is the raised helm deck with helm controls to starboard (next to the pilothouse door) and a large mate's bunk with an expansive navigation table to port. Visibility from this raised area is excellent, and the helmsperson can easily see the bow and swim platform from the wheel.

Navigation instrumentation is detailed in a subsequent section, but is abundant and functional.

Proceeding forward, you descend a few stairs down into a hallway leading to the sleeping areas. The master stateroom with attached head is very spacious with excellent head room and good access around the island berth.

The guest berth is also very comfortable, and each cabin has access to its own head. Storage is well laid out and should accommodate all necessary travel items without a problem

The engine room is accessed through the floor of the pilothouse helm deck. Good lighting and access to the engines and generators make for a very functional engine room. Also located in the engine room are apartment sized washer and dryer units.
